I went to the 2007 Will County Center for Economic Development Annual Report to Investors this past Friday. If the keynote speaker were running for office he'd have my vote. He talked about everything near and dear to my green heart and though we don't exactly agree on everything we do have a working base.

I know there's a mixed bag of feelings and beliefs about Silver Cross Hospital moving out of Joliet and I feel confident that the Joliet Mayor and City Council have been and will be looking out for what's best for Joliet. Thank you.

It would be awesome if Silver Cross would not only build platinum rated Green Buildings but would create the hospital of the future using best environmental practices. Not only of construction but nursing, medicine, and the other services of the medical industry; supplies, food service, waste management and more. What if they even used biogas as one of the energy sources?

It would be THE premier demonstration that Will County IS THE LEADER in industry.
